Kitchen Sink Microgreens, lettuce, radish, arugula, and japanese mustard are loving the cool, rainy fall weather (unlike me). The peppers and basil have finally reached the point in our rowhouse’s back yard where they do not get any sun, so they are turning yellow and unhealthy. The rattlesnake bean vine is still incredibly producing fresh beans every week. In the front garden, the two lavender varieties are also strangely liking this weather and look all puffy, green, and succulent. The morning glories managed to struggle through with two more blooms this morning. The cabbage seedlings are pathetically small, and the mystery seed that was erroneously in the packet from Southern Exposure has finally sprouted – small ferny looking leaves. No idea what it is! I will send them a picture as soon as they get big enough to see clearly. Had some of the shredded Japanese Red Mustard and cabbage in fish tacos last night along with my own fresh cilantro it was delicious!
